Business Concept

Investtech.com's business concept is to develop and market advanced systems of decision support for financial investments, and offer advice and analyses based on these. This includes assignment research, consultancy work, and active money management in cooperation with fund managers. All activities will be strongly based on Investtech.com's systems for decision support for financial investments.

History

Work on important parts of Investtech.coms analysis methodology started out as a research project in mathematical modeling at the University of Oslo in 1993. The project was carried on via Geir Linløkken's finance pages on the Internet in 1996. Investtech.com AS was founded in May 1997 with the purpose of commercializing these finance pages. The first subscription service started for the Oslo Stock Exchange in June 1999, and received very positive response from the start. Investtech.com will continue to run commercial based services for free on the Internet, but subscribers will get more frequent updates, enhanced analyses and additional special services.

Products

1. Free Service on the Internet.

The products are aimed at those with an interest in shares and the stock exchange. The main contents of the stock pages are technical stock analyses based on advanced mathematical and statistical methods for pattern recognition. Lists with buy signals and company rankings, statistics and information charts are presented. The services are updated every day with new analyses for every company which has a share history of at least 66 days. Investtech.com is also examining the possibility of building free stock pages for more exchanges in Europe and the USA.

Free services on the Internet will still be able to give commercial income to Investtech.com. However, the company will primarily cooperate with other companies that provide financial information on the internet , in addition to stock brokers with Internet services. There are several actors with financial information (stock listings, news, etc.) on the Internet, but very few which have financial analyses. Such financial actors would also benefit from subscription with Investtech.com and thereby increase the value of their own services.

2. Subscription Services

For the time being, the stock pages on the Internet are free. In time, the amount of information on these pages will be greatly reduced, and subscription services will be gradually phased in.

The subscription services will be directed towards private investors, professional managers and stock brokers. It may also be of interest to brokers on the Internet for integration in their own online systems.

3. Paid Analyses

Investtech.com prepares material for a number of printed magazines. Investtech.com can deliver standard charts, tailored charts, technical comments, statistics and more.

Investtech.com's systems make a good platform for the developement of mechanical trading strategies. The company hopes this can give basis a for starting with active money management in cooperation with established fund managers.

Investtech.com may use Internet developement for partners who whish to integrate Investtech.com's analysis as a value added part of their own online services.
