Köpsignal från rektangel-formationer på Stockholmsbörsen gav 5,8 procent

Köpsignaler från rektangel-formationer har statistiskt gett en kursuppgång på 5,8 procent under de tre månaderna efter signalen. Det visar en forskningsrapport från Investtech baserad på 11 års data från Stockholmsbörsen.

Rektangel-formationer bildas när det under en tid varit balans mellan köpare och säljare. När formationen bryts indikerar det, enligt teknisk analys, att sentimentet på marknaden håller på att ändras.

Brott upp från en rektangel-formation utlöser en köpsignal och ett brott ned utlöser en säljsignal. Investtechs forskningschef Geir Linlökken har analyserat hur aktiekursen utvecklas efter köp- respektive säljsignaler från rektangel-formationer på Stockholmsbörsen från 2003 till 2014.

Totalt identifierade Investtechs datorer 1604 köpsignaler och 1062 säljsignaler under den perioden.

Kursutveckling efter köp- och säljsignaler från rektangel-formationer på Stockholmsbörsen identifierade av Investtechs automatiska algoritmer i grafer på medellång sikt. Klicka på figuren för större bild.

Grafen visar genomsnittlig kursutveckling från signalen till och med 66 handelsdagar efter signalen, vilket motsvarar ungefär tre månader. Signalen utlöses på dag 0. Den blåa kurvan är köpsignaler och den röda är säljsignaler. Det färgade fältet omkring anger standardavvikelsen för beräkningarna. Den svarta linjen är referensindex.

Aktier som gav köpsignal steg i genomsnitt med 5,8 procent efter tre månader. Aktier som gav säljsignal steg i genomsnitt med 3,0 procent. Jämfört med den genomsnittliga börsutvecklingen under den perioden gick aktier som gav köpsignal 1,7 procentenheter bättre än börsen medan aktier som gav säljsignal gick 1,0 procentenheter sämre.
