Profondeur de marché

Profondeur de marché montre le rapport entre le nombre de valeurs ayant donné un signal positif sur le nombre total de valeurs mobilières. L'indicateur oscille entre 0 et 100, où 0 indique que toutes les sociétés cotées ont donné des signaux négatifs et un indicateur à 100, que toutes les valeurs mobilières ont donné un signal positif. Un indicateur en haut de l'échelle (90 ou plus) est un fort avertissement que le marché est en phase finale d'une bulle spéculative, et qu'une réaction à la baisse peut être imminente. Inversement, un indicateur en bas de l'échelle (sous 10) indique que les forces à la vente sont bientôt épuisées et que les cours des valeurs cotées vont renverser la tendance.

Il y a trois différents indicateurs hausse/baisse du marché, chacun correspondant à des stratégies différentes. Trading range court terme et long terme et moyenne mobile. Les stratégies de Trading Range donnent des signaux positifs lorsque le cours grimpe au-dessus du dernier sommet. La stratégie de moyenne mobile donne un signal positif quand la moyenne de court terme est au-dessus de celle de long terme.
