Oslo Børs weakly lower Thursday

The market showed a small loss Thursday, and Hovedindeksen ended the day at 1343 points, which is a decline of 0.4 percent.

112 shares showed a gain and 172 showed a loss. 27 shares were unchanged and closed at the same price as the previous day. There was no trading in 19 shares.

Total value of the trading volume for shares and primary capital certificates Thursday was approximately 5.7 billion.

Akastor closed at 12.20 kroner after posting a gain of 13.0 percent. The stock has never gained more in one day since Dec 11. 2023, when it was up 15.0 percent. The stock triggered a buy signal by the break up through the resistance at 11.54 kroner in rectangle formation. A further increase to 12.26 kroner within four months is indicated. The volume was also very high. At session end it was bought and sold shares for about 21 million kroner in the stock, which equals 21 times mean daily turnover.
Elkem closed at 19.64 kroner after posting a loss of 5.8 percent. We must go back to Oct 25. 2023 to find an equally steep drop. That time the stock lost 7.0 percent. The volume was also high. At session end it was bought and sold shares for about 121 million kroner in the stock, which equals seven times mean daily turnover. It does not look good technically either. The stock is trend wise negative in the medium term and a further decline is indicated.
Odfjell Drilling closed at 53.30 kroner after a small gain of 1.5 percent. The stock has now closed up for the eighth day in a row. It also looks good technically. The stock is trend wise positive in the medium term, has support at 40.00 kroner and a further increase is indicated.
Schibsted B gained 1.8 percent to 306 kroner. The stock thereby reversed up after eight days of losses. It also looks good technically. The stock is trend wise positive in the medium term and a further increase is indicated.
Grieg Seafood closed at 64.65 kroner after a small loss of 0.5 percent. The stock has now closed down for the seventh day in a row. It does not look good technically either. The stock is trend wise negative in the medium term, has broken down through support at 65.70 kroner and a further decline is indicated.
