Global stocks: 3 solid buy

We have analysed three American stocks that are popular and very liquid. All three of them are buy recommendation.

Berkshire Hath Hld B (BRK-B.NY) Close: 208.72

The investment giant Berkshire Hathaway Holdings B share price has gone up by almost 30 per cent since May last year and is in a rising trend channel on the medium term. Further price increase is indicated. Positive volume balance and strong rising momentum indicate that there is underlying strength in the stock. Couple of months back the stock triggered a sell as it broke down from a rectangle formation, but the stock rose back over 200 dollars nullifying the formation. There is now resistance around 217 dollars and a break out over that level will trigger a new buy signal. The support is around 200 dollars.

Honeywell Internationa (HON.NY) Close: 156.36

Honeywell International Inc is in a rising trend channel in the medium long term. Rising trends indicate that the company experiences positive development and that buy interest among investors is increasing. Positive volume balance indicates that buyers are aggressive while the sellers are passive and strengthens the stock further. The stock has given a buy signal from a rectangle formation that gives a price target of 163. However positive trend suggests that the price may continue to rise to the next resistance level around 165 dollars or more. In case of a price correction, there is now support around 153 dollars.

Merck & Company (MRK.NY) Close: 66.58

Merck & Company shows strong development within a rising trend channel in the medium term. It suggests increasing optimism among investors and indicates continued rise. The stock has broken up through the resistance at dollar 66.20. This indicates a further rise of the stock price. The short-term momentum of the stock is strongly positive, with RSI above 70. Also, the positive volume balance indicates that there are more buyers when prices rise and less sellers when prices fall. In case of a price reaction, there is support around 62.60 dollars.
