Euronext Brussel rises for the fifth day in a row

The market showed a small gain mercredi, and Bel20 (BEL20) ended the day at 4016 points, which is an increase of 0.5 percent. L'indice has now closed up for the fifth day in a row and this past week l'indice has gained as much as 3.4 percent.

57 shares showed a gain and 46 showed a loss. 17 shares were unchanged and closed at the same price as the previous day. There was no trading in 102 shares.

Total value of the trading volume for shares and primary capital certificates mercredi was approximately 1.0 billion.

AHOLD DEL (AD) developed positively, and gained 2.2 percent to a close of 28.89 euro. We must go back to séptembre 2023 to find a higher close for l'action. L'action has thereby closed up 11 out of the past 15 days. It does, however, not look good technically. L'action is trend wise negative in the medium term and a further decline is indicated.

AB INBEV (ABI) closed at 58.78 euro after a solid gain of 4.0 percent. We must go back to février 7 to find an equally strong rise. That time l'action gained 4.2 percent. Technically it also looks good. L'action is trend wise negative in the medium term, but has broken up through the resistance at 58.00 euro.

Euronav (EURN) developed positively, and gained 7.8 percent to a close of 17.29 euro. L'action thereby broke the earlier top it set février 13 and reached a new year-high. L'action has now risen for the fifth day in a row. It also looks good technically. L'action is trend wise negative in the medium term, but has broken up through the resistance at 17.00 euro.

NV Bekaert SA. (BEKB) closed at 45.50 euro after posting a loss of 4.2 percent. L'action has never lost more in one day since juillet 14. 2023, when it was down 4.8 percent.

Groupe Bruxelles Lambert SA (GBLB) moved up and ended at 71.90 euro, which is an increase of 0.8 percent. L'action thereby broke the earlier top it set février 22 and reached a new year-high. L'action triggered a buy signal by the break up through the resistance at 71.40 euro in formation double-creux. A further increase to 74.80 euro within five months is indicated.
