Euforien i kryptomarkedet har på mindre enn en måned snudd til sterk redsel og pessimisme.

Investtechs kortsiktige hausseindeks for kryptomarkedet lå tidlig i januar langt over 90 poeng, noe som indikerte overdreven optimisme, der nærmest alle hemninger hos investorene hadde forduftet. I går brøt hausseindeksen ned under 20 poeng. Det viser at over 80 prosent av kryptovalutaene nå har utløst salgssignaler på kort sikt, og indikerer at et stort flertall av investorene er redde for videre fall.

Nedgangen i markedet har kommet på høyt volum. Det viser at mange presser hardt på for å komme seg ut. Illustrert med sjefskryptoen Bitcoin, ser vi at kursen nå ligger i en fallende trendkanal, har brutt ned under tidligere støttenivåer, og at fallhøyden er stor. Kursen kan lett falle 25 prosent ned mot 7400 dollar på en ukes sikt, og ned mot 2900 dollar (70 prosent) på et halvt års sikt.
