Euronext Brussel sharply higher

The market rallied Tuesday, and Bel20 closed at 3997 points after an increase of 1.7 percent. The index has never gained more in one day since Mar 21, when it was up 2.8 percent. The index has now closed up for the fourth day in a row.

74 shares showed a gain and 23 showed a loss. 16 shares were unchanged and closed at the same price as the previous day. There was no trading in 109 shares.

Total value of the trading volume for shares and primary capital certificates Tuesday was approximately 0.9 billion.

Solvay SA closed at 34.76 euro after a solid gain of 14.3 percent. The stock has never gained more in one day since Mar 18. 2020, when it was up 16.1 percent. The stock has thereby closed up 19 out of the past 27 days. Technically it also looks good. The stock is trend wise positive in the medium term and a further increase is indicated.
Aedifica SA moved up and ended at 63.55 euro, which is an increase of 1.2 percent. The stock thereby broke the earlier top it set Jan 2 and reached a new year-high. The stock has now risen for the fourth day in a row. It does, however, not look good technically. The stock is trend wise negative in the medium term and a further decline is indicated.
Xior Student Housing NV was up 1.4 percent to close at 29.70 euro. The stock thereby broke the earlier top it set Jan 8 and reached a new year-high. The stock has now closed up for the seventh day in a row.
KBC Ancora SA developed positively, and gained 2.3 percent to a close of 46.50 euro. The stock has not closed at a higher price since Mar 2023. The volume was also high. At session end it was bought and sold shares for about 5 million euro in the stock, which equals three times mean daily turnover. It also looks good technically. The stock is trend wise positive in the medium term, has support at 44.90 euro and a further increase is indicated.
Fagron NV moved up and ended at 18.46 euro, which is an increase of 1.8 percent. The stock thereby broke the earlier top it set Feb 19 and reached a new year-high. It also looks good technically. The stock is trend wise positive in the medium term, has support at 17.00 euro and a further increase is indicated.
